Definition
A chatbot is a program (ie, a bot) designed to use a chat-like interface. Many of today's chatbots are powered by generative ai, and can therefore seem to be very intelligent and insightful.
However, it's important to remember that these are just programs, and aren't aware if they are telling the truth or just making stuff up in a confident way.
