Glossary Entry: Wiki
Definition
A Wiki is a special kind of website where users work together to document something, such as a game or TV show. Just about every popular work has its own wiki these days, though the most famous wiki is undoubtedly Wikipedia
, a user-managed encyclopedia.
For the most part, Wikis are generally trustworthy. Entering false information (known as vandalism) tends to get people banned very quickly, and the more popular a wiki is, the faster malicious editing gets caught and removed.
