Glossary Entry: Steam trading cards
Definition
Steam trading cards are virtual trading cards that can be earned, collected, sold, and traded through Steam. These cards are automatically created as someone plays eligible Steam games. Once acquired, a player may sell or trade their cards on the Steam Marketplace.
Alternatively, players can cash in a full set of trading cards for a nifty badge, profile background, and special emoji related to the game the cards are from. These can then be placed on their Steam profile.
