Glossary Entry: Elemental
Definition
When it comes to gaming, the term "elemental" has two possible meanings.
If the term is used as an adjective, then it means the object it modifies uses the game's rock/paper/scissors combat system. For example, an elemental weapon will do additional damage to targets that are weak to its element and less damage to targets that are resistant to it.
The other common meaning of this term is a creature that either represents or is purely made from one of the game's elements. Living statues, for example, are often simply known as "Earth Elementals".
