Glossary Entry: Boss Room
Definition
Video games like to have the player deal with really strong enemies in specially designed lairs - often ones that give the enemy an advantage. These special rooms are called boss rooms or boss arenas, as this is where the player fights the boss.
Often, these are large empty rooms with no visible exit. Stumbling across one, especially one with a suspicious amount of health and ammo pickups at the doorway, is a huge warning sign that a really big fight is about to begin.
