Definition
Many games these days automatically save the player's progress as time goes on. This feature is called an "autosave", for "automatic saving".
This can also spoil players a bit, as they might get too accustomed to it and discover they forgot to save before quitting a game that doesn't have an autosave feature, losing all of the progress they'd made during that session.
