Glossary Entry: Side Quest
Definition
A side quest (or side mission, depending on the setting) is an optional quest that does not advance the game's main story.
Completing side quests usually grants various benefits, such as new equipment, XP, loot, and new lore about the game's world. It's often worth doing the side quests first, as these rewards can give players an edge against whatever they'll face in the main story.
