Glossary Entry: Money Sink

A money sink is something that constantly takes money but gives little to nothing in return. If you're spending money on a money sink, you're throwing money down the drain.

Microtransaction-heavy games can often become money sinks, and some games feature virtual money sinks to give players something to spend their extra gold on.
