Glossary Entry: Juggle

Quick Definition

In combat-focused games, a character is said to be juggled when they are repeatedly hit by attacks that render them incapable of responding. To elaborate, a character may respond to being hit with a short flinching animation, during which no action may be taken. If this character is then repeatedly struck, effectively keeping them "locked" in this animation, they are being "juggled" by their attacker.

Often, juggling an enemy involves knocking them into the air, much like an actual juggler would juggle some apples.

This mechanic is also an example of a double standard - it's fun for players to juggle enemies, but it's frustrating for players to get juggled by enemies!
