Quick Definition

EULA is an acronym that stands for End User License Agreement. Unlike physical goods, software is licensed and the person using it is held to abide by the terms spelled out in these agreements.

These agreements are typically shown to the user before the software installs, and users have an unsettling tendency to just scroll to the bottom and blindly hit "accept". In other words, you've probably agreed to a bunch of these contracts without reading what they entail.
