Glossary Entry: Pixel hunting

Quick Definition

In point and click adventure games, the player is tasked with finding or interacting with objects by clicking on them. Unfortunately, some games make the objects nearly invisible by either making them too similar in color to whatever is behind them or by making them too small to see.

When this happens, the player becomes tasked with finding just the right pixel to click on, meaning that they are literally hunting for a specific pixel among thousands.

Games that do this are usually pretty annoying, to say the least!
