A collectible is an item that players can collect in a game. Often, these are hidden away in some secret place, leading the players on a virtual scavenger hunt.
Collecting these items usually doesn't have any benefit or effect on the game itself; it's just an extra challenge for players to indulge in. Occasionally however, collecting all of these hidden items will trigger a secret ending or achievement.
