Glossary Entry: Antifrustration Feature

Quick Definition

Games are meant to be fun, and a good challenge is one way to keep the player entertained. Unfortunately, not everybody is skilled at playing games, and so sometimes the developers offer a way to make things a little easier for the player. An example would be a button that allow you to skip a hard puzzle.

I call these "antifrustration features", as they reduce or eliminate something that would otherwise frustrate someone.
